As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Digital Home team, you will develop the products that enhance our lifestyles. The Digital Home team works with many devices and services to create a modern smart home experience for our users.
The Digital Home team works by bringing together a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers to solve the problems of disparate product ecosystems in home entertainment, productivity and security.
In this role, you will be working with the latest web technologies to find innovative technological solutions for mobile and desktop platforms. These solutions produce a "1+1=3" value proposition by exposing the synergies of smart home devices to our customers in new and interesting ways. For example, why would a thermostat talk to a TV? what would it say?
Work with product designers to implement complex user interfaces for web
Manage application state with Redux or similar framework
Create solutions for mobile that access core mobile OS services such as location
Integrate with 3rd-party cloud services including: account linking via OAuth2, device control and automation
Coordinate integration testing with QA staff
Participate in security audits and attack-modelling sessions
Skills & Requirements:
Deep understanding of UI frameworks such as React and ReactNative
Application state management via products such as Redux
Experience in Node.js
Good communicator and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies
Great design and problem solving skills
Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
Comfortable working in a fast paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets
